Peddder bay Estuary PEDDER BAY ESTUARY

North side estuary looking west inland at high tide. The mudflats of this estuary provide a valuable source of food for waterfoul throughout the year. Canada Geese nest on the islands in upper art of the bay. Rock at low tide.

Looking west up the stream At the head of the estuary, it splits into two branches, one going to the waterfall and one to the north side, going toward the Galloping goose trail. Looking west upstream on the north fork.
Waterfall Map WATERFALL AND RIVER
The waterfall that feeds into the estuary on the north side of Pedder Bay running at full capacity in December 2008. A study of the invertebrates of the stream coming from the waterfall, can easily come up with a variety of larvae and adult invertebrates which serve as a reliable food source for cutthroat trout coming to the stream.
