Adam Harding PC 2009 (Saskatchewan)
In June 2010, Adam returns for his second summer as Ecoguardian at Race Rocks.
In June, 2009, two former students of Lester Pearson College were hired by the college to take over for Ryan Murphy as Ecoguardians for the Summer months at Race Rocks. Images of their time there are included below. From ecological recording and observation and reporting of problems in the reserve to renovation work, they are on call 24 hours a day in the Strait of Juan de Fuca. In September, Max returned to his second year of university in England and Adam went off for his first term at Dalhousie University in Nova Scotia. Since both students were divers and biology students at Pearson College, they are very familiar with Race Rocks and are well qualified for their many roles as "Keepers of the Rock".
Pam Birley took these images of Max as he was cleaning the housing of the remote camera A hazardous activity with the gull nests in the vicinity at this time of year.
