  • went off island for a couple hours today, ran into town for a short visit
  • looks like low winds this weekend, maybe a few short tours of the island next week

Ecological

  • One of the pups is now by the tank shed and the other one is by the compost bin, still no male elephant seals around
  • there is another tagged female now, a mature one the tag is pretty worn out, but its an orange tag that reads T 563

  • haven’t seen the males around, only 3 elephant seals on the island today, both the pups along with one tagged female elephant seal, tag is C-887

  • quite a few boats out there
  • also quite a few visitors coming to take a quick tour of race rocks

  • The males both seem to have gone off today, I haven’t seen them, I’ve only seen the pups along with the two juvenile tagged females
