  • Yet another 2 females came by today making a total of 9 elephant seals all of them female

  • The pups are inseperable, its adorable, then an older female that is pretty large showed up today and got right in between them, the youngest pup was pretty upset about it but the three of them are napping together now

  • Water: Some waves this morning but calm later in the day

  • a few boats went by today, ecotours and fishing

Ecological

  • An adult female elephant seal showed up today and the oldest pup was relaxing on the jetty with the sea lions
  • also the juvenile male had blood on him, there may have been a couple small puncture wounds but nothing serious
  • it was a beautiful afternoon, a bit difficult counting with all the movement

  • The pups are doing well, one of the younger males was attacking the oldest pup until Bernard came along and chased him off

  • Not much boat traffic, saw a couple helicopters though

Ecological

  • The pup born on tuesday is doing well
  • The larger male is keeping the smaller 3 males away from the mom and pup
  • still a few sea lions around

Break from the rain

  • A few boats around, fisherman and ecotours
  • A coast guard helicopter flew over numerous times today

Ecological

  • The same 4 males and 1 female elephant seals
  • still about 100 sea lions I think, mostly stellar
  • A lot of eagles around
