Crowds

Wildlife notes

The red-footed booby drew crowds today!  It travelled a long way and there were a lot of very interested birders here to see it.

I started putting together the travel data for some of the branded California sea lions that we observed at Race Rocks this past month but I am tired and ran out of time this evening so I will have to finish it tomorrow.

Facility work

The last fence repair at the Jetty lasted a whole 48 hours and only needed a small adjustment today!

  • cleaned solar panels
  • ran the gas generator in the morning, solar brought it up to a full charge by 5pm.
  • fence patrol and repair
  • drilled more anchor holes for the new electric fence line
