  • looks like the sea otter was out in the kelp again today, I can only tell because ecotour boats kept circling the kelp patch

  • Fog horn started going off at 1am last night and continued until maybe 7 this morning

  • about a dozen elephants, quite a few different birds and not a lot of sea lions about today
  • a possible sea otter in the north kelp bed but I couldn’t see it, but there were boats circling around there
  • saw an oyster catcher nest as well

Boats/Visitors

  • a few ecotours went by today
  • Guy and Clarence came by for a fuel delivery, I needed to top up my big tank

Ecological

  • about 11 elephant seals today, 10 female, one young male
  • the elephants are blocking a goose off from its nest again, they seem to like the spot

So Much Fog

  • Sky: From dense fog to sunshine throughout the day
  • Water: A bit wavy, under a metre

Boats/Visitors

  • the middle of the day was nice so there were quite a few boats out
  • Guy stopped by today to get the big fuel tank

Ecological

  • Total of 9 female elephants and one young male
  • the geese I think are done laying eggs, but I’m not totally sure
  • it also looks like their might be some oyster catcher nests around, need to take a closer look

Other

  • the fog was pretty dense my fog horn was going off from 10pm last night to 7am this morning and again around 8-9 or 10am

Ecological

  • a couple of the female elephants were blocking off a goose from her nest and the goose was pretty upset but the elephant seals could not be bothered and stayed napping there for a while
